An Artificial Intelligence showdown

Through Tesla Motors , SpaceX and Hyperloop (not to enlist the many other companies)-of which he is cofounder, CEO and Chairman, Elon Musk is trying to redefine transportation on earth and in space.
Elon Reeve Musk is a South African-born Canadian-American business magnate, investor, engineer, and inventor (born June 28, 197).

With a net worth estimated at 16 billion USD (2017) according to Forbes magazine, Musk is one of the rockstars that take the tech world by storm every once in a while with gigantic projects such as the hyperloop, the tesla cars or the spaceX project and is a renowed authority when it comes to technology and artificial intelligence subjects.

Musk has leaked so much ink recently when he stirred a showdown with Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg on twitter when he claimed that Zuckerberg’s understanding of AI (artificial intelligence) is limited and claimed that AI is a « potentially existential threat to the human race » while Zuckerberg responded in various Facebook live broadcasts « I think that people who are naysayers and kind of try to drum up these doomsday scenarios — I just, I don’t understand it. I think it’s really negative and in some ways I actually think it is pretty irresponsible. »

Musk’s heading up a startup called Neuralink that intends to build devices to connect the human brain with computers.
already leading space exploration projects and major tunneling initiatives, he is now trying to develop AI that he hopes will have a positive impact on humanity.
« If you’re arguing against AI, then you’re arguing against safer cars that aren’t going to have accidents. And you’re arguing against being able to better diagnose people when they’re sick. I just don’t see how, in good conscience, some people can do that. I’m just much more optimistic on this, in general, than probably a lot of folks are, » Zuckerberg said.

Facebook and Tesla did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the feud.
