joins forces with MIE Groups
for the upcoming African Technology Show in Casablanca

MIE Groups, the organizer of the upcoming first African Technology Show (AFTS), signed earlier this week a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
Moroccan Information Technopark Company (MITC), to take place on 16-18 December 2019 at AMDIE, Casablanca, co-located with the third China Trade Week.

The MoU was signed by Zahoor Ahmed, Vice President Strategy and Partnerships, MIE Groups, and Ms. Lamiae Benmakhlouf, CEO of MITC (Technopark) Morocco.

Ms. Benmakhlouf said: “We are pleased to announce a new partnership between Moroccan Information Technopark Company (MITC) and MIE Groups as a both efficient and effective one in order to contribute to the successful organization of the African Technology Show that will take place in Morocco from the 16th to the 18th December 2019.“

She added: “We are thinking to share our experience as well as the one of our start-ups by working in close partnership. Our principal as a hub of technology in our kingdom is to work together to see the start-ups located in Technopark flourishing and expanding their businesses in Africa, and why not worldwide. Last but not least, I am sure that this partnership will help our start-ups to reach new horizons.”

Mr. Ahmed noted: “As we are gearing up for the first AFTS in the vibrant city of Casablanca, a strong African ecosystem for startups and the Industry 4.0, we could not be happier to team up with MITC.”

He added: “AFTS will host more than 200 international tech exhibitors and we expect more than 5,000 industry visitors.”

The AFTS fair will be divided into four sections: Smart Cities, Fintech, Consumer Technology and Industrial 4.0, while a parallel multi-day conference session will host top experts presenting the latest trends and outlooks on these four themes.
